Dr. Amit Kulkarni is a highly accomplished neurologist with an extensive educational background. He completed his MBBS from KIMS, Hubli, followed by an MD in General Medicine from M S Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore. Driven by his passion for neurology, he pursued DM in Neurology from the prestigious G B Pant Hospital in New Delhi.
Dr. Amit further honed his skills by completing a Clinical Fellowship in Stroke and Neurosonology at the National University Hospital in Singapore. He also obtained a Comprehensive Certification in Neurosonology from the American Society of Neuroimaging, USA, demonstrating his commitment to staying at the forefront of his field.
Dr. Amit is a national proctor for transcranial Doppler- a cutting-edge technology which deals with real-time assessment of blood flow in the arteries of the brain. He has tremendous expertise in managing the whole spectrum of stroke and cerebrovascular diseases. He is currently the Hon, Secretary of Bangalore Stroke Support Group. He is the Founder Trustee of the Karnataka Stroke Foundation. He is a founding member and EC Member of the Society of Neurosonology, India. He has been recently elected to the National Executive Committee of the Indian Stroke Association. Dr. Amit brings a wealth of experience to Sakra and apart from his passion for Neurology & Stroke, he is a regular runner and a marathoner.
