Robotic cardiac surgery is used to treat a variety of heart conditions, including Coronary Artery Disease, Mitral Valve Disease, and Atrial Septal Defects. Our trained cardiac surgeons perform all kinds of cardiac surgeries and thoracic procedures like:

  • Robotic-assisted CABGs (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting): This procedure uses robotic technology to bypass blocked coronary arteries, improving blood flow to the heart. It reduces recovery time and minimizes surgical trauma compared to traditional open-heart surgery.
  • Robotic-assisted Mitral Valve Repairs: In this procedure, the robot assistant allows surgeons to repair a damaged mitral valve with greater precision, often resulting in faster recovery and less postoperative pain.
  • Mitral Valve Replacements: When the mitral valve cannot be repaired, robotic surgery enables its replacement with a prosthetic valve through smaller incisions, reducing hospital stays and recovery times.
  • ASD Surgery (Atrial Septal Defect): In this process Robotic surgery is used to close holes in the heart’s septum, correcting abnormal blood flow between the heart's chambers. This improves overall heart function.
  • Thoracic Lobectomies: Robotic-assisted lobectomy involves the removal of part of the lung to treat conditions such as cancer or severe infections, with smaller incisions that promote quicker healing and less pain.
  • Segmentectomies: In this procedure, robotic systems help remove a segment of lung tissue, typically for cancer or tumors, offering greater precision and minimal damage to surrounding tissues.
  • Excision of Mediastinal Tumours: Robotic surgery is used to remove tumors in the mediastinum (the area between the lungs), improving accuracy and reducing recovery time.
  • Excision of Mediastinal Masses: Similar to tumor excision, this procedure removes non-cancerous masses from the mediastinum, often resulting in less pain and quicker recovery compared to traditional surgery.
