The Sakra Institute of Digestive and HPB (Hepato-pancreato-biliary) Sciences is a center of excellence for all types of Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary disorders with world class technology and a multidisciplinary team of specialists, constantly supported by 24/7 emergency, radiology, laboratory and blood bank facilities.
The department has all diagnostic endoscopy facilities along with interventional procedures for Gastrointestinal, Liver, Pancreatic and Biliary disorders, and also runs a high dependency unit for patients having serious gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
The surgical division has a state-of-art facility for the early detection, diagnosis, and surgical treatment of all complex diseases. The team has a vast experience of performing liver surgery for liver cancers, cancers of the bile duct and for other liver tumors. The center has a skilled team of surgeons, complimented by the most advanced intraoperative tools (Intraoperative Ultrasound, CUSA and Waterjet Dissectors, Bipolar Radiofrequency Dissecting Device, etc.) to perform safe and bloodless liver surgeries.
